Most managed service providers will sell you a stack. We build you a posture.

For nearly three decades serving businesses across the Carolinas, we’ve learned that the companies that get IT right don’t treat security, compliance, and productivity as separate projects owned by separate vendors. They treat them as a single, continuous system that protects revenue, keeps auditors satisfied, and lets their teams actually work faster. That’s why our services are organized around three integrated pillars rather than a 40-item service menu. Every engagement starts with your business outcomes. And every decision — from the firewall you run to the compliance framework you map to — is made by a senior advisor who has solved the same problem for other mid-sized businesses before.

Why this matters now

The cost of fragmented IT has gone up. Cyber insurance premiums now depend on demonstrated security posture. Clients, especially in regulated verticals, demand completed security questionnaires before they’ll sign. Auditors and investors ask to see written policies, not verbal assurances. A piecemeal IT strategy that worked in 2019 — a managed IT services (MSP) provider for tickets, a separate tool for backup, a compliance consultant for the annual audit — may now leave you slower, less profitable, and more vulnerable than a single integrated partner today.

The three pillars

Every Refresh client engages with one or more of these pillars. All services share a common security posture, a common delivery team, and a common set of reporting standards, which is why running all three through us costs less than stitching three separate vendors together.

Managed IT & Security Services

Secure networks, managed endpoints, cloud platforms, monitoring, and 24/7 support engineered as one system, with security built into every layer

Start here if: You want predictable monthly IT with security as the default, not an upsell.

Key outcomes:

  • Lower operational risk, with fewer breach vectors, tighter access control, and faster detection
  • Senior-engineer response to business-impacting tickets, not tier-1 reads from a script
  • One partner for network, endpoints, cloud, and cybersecurity

Compliance & Risk Management

HIPAA, SOC 2, and NIST alignment, with assessments, audit readiness, written security policies, and vendor questionnaire support from senior advisors Start here if: You’re being asked for security documentation you don’t currently have, or you’re preparing for an audit.

Key outcomes:

  • Vendor security questionnaires completed on time
  • Living policies (WISP, IR Plan, Risk Register) that survive an auditor’s questions
  • A documented security posture that your leadership team and your clients can trust

Automation & Modern Workplace

Microsoft 365, business process automation, and AI-assisted productivity done right and deployed securely so your team works faster without opening new risks Start here if: You’re paying for Microsoft 365 or Copilot and not getting the productivity lift you expected.

Key outcomes:

  • More efficient workflows, with hours of monthly manual work per month getting automated
  • Governed Copilot and AI tools for data loss prevention
  • Remote and hybrid work that’s fast and secure

How these three pillars work together

The pillars are deliberately overlapping. The tools, policies, and engineers that monitor your network also produce the evidence your auditor asks for. The M365 tenant that runs your collaboration is also where security policies govern data handling. A single change in your security posture ripples through all three.

That means, if you engage Refresh Technologies for all pillars, we don’t invoice you three times for the same work. We invoice you once and credit the overlap back to you.

If you engage us for one pillar today and expand later, the transition is internal. No new assessment, onboarding, and vendor contract. The senior engineer who knows your environment is the same one handling the next pillar.

Frequently asked questions

Can we engage one pillar without the others?
Yes. Most clients start with one pillar and add over time. We don’t bundle-lock, but we do price integration discounts when you expand.
Our sweet spot is 25 to 500-employee mid-sized businesses with real revenue and real risk. We’ll tell you honestly if we’re the wrong fit.
We implement a predictable monthly per-user or per-environment pricing. No time-and-materials surprises. Outcome-based contracting is also available for larger engagements.
National MSPs have scale; we have seniority and proximity. You’ll deal with a senior advisor by name, not a ticket queue by case number.
Typical onboarding runs 4 to 8 weeks for the first pillar, starting with a full security and environment assessment. Day 1 of service is preceded by documented remediation of the highest-priority findings.
